Yes, so good to hear about. I understand about sunglasses, but what about "regular" eyeglasses, for those of us full-time bats, I wonder? Should they be left behind at home, as well? Thanks for any and all guidance ~
Per prof Andrew Huberman, from whom I initially heard this advice, glasses are fine. Which is good because I cannot safely take a walk without mine! I do spend some mornings sitting with my glasses off, looking at the blur LOL but most days I'm outside within 10 minutes of getting up, wearing my glasses and throwing a ball with my dogs. I also make a point to get outside in the evening to see the waning/setting sunlight. It has done worlds of good for my sleep.
Yay! I hope you experience the same kind of positive effects.
Sleep is the single biggest trigger for mood episodes for me (diagnosed bipolar 1) and I do all I can to make sure it stays good. Managing my light environment & circadian factors are massively huge effectors. And I've had to learn over the years that doesn't JUST mean "no screens at night."

Thank you! So good to hear of someone's noticing a marked benefit of taking up this practice. I started this morning. :)

amen ~
What about full-spectrum lamps? Are they an adequate alternative if you can't get outside?
Yes I live in WI and I feel like I need something better for winter.
Great suggestion! Thanks for this.
